Adult Volunteers

Adult Volunteers are critical to making our Pack run efficiently and provide the best experience for our boys. Various roles exist for being involved, including:

  • Assistant Cubmaster
  • Den Leader/Assistant Den Leader
  • Pack Council (Chair, Advancement Chair, Fundraiser Chair, etc.)
  • Individual Event Planners (Pinewood Derby, Christmas Service Project, End of Year Banquet, Pack Meetings, etc.)

As you can see, there are various ways adults can be involved, and we are eager for you to choose a position that fits your interests and talents.

Pack 4 also provides new adult leaders with a free Class B pack t-shirt and pays for adult attendance at campouts, council events, and fee-based trainings.

Process:

  • Adult volunteers must fill out an application.
  • The annual fee for adult volunteers is $60. Pack 4 will pay the $25 application fee for new adult volunteers.
  • A criminal background check is required.
  • Archdiocese of Mobile Child Protection Training (one-time in-person, free, offered monthly) and online Youth Protection training (online, free, on your own schedule) provided by BSA are also required.
  • Position-specific training on-line or in-person is also available, so don’t let being unfamiliar with the specifics stop you!
