Kindergarten: Lions

For Kindergarten boys, the Lion rank serves as an introduction to Scouting. The program focuses on five primary adventures, each with a learning component and an activity component. Additionally, several elective (optional) adventures can be completed individually or as a Den. Lions work with a parent to complete each adventure and spend time with other Lions/parents while doing so.

Lion Required Adventures

  • Lion’s Honor (Learning about Scouting)
  • Fun on the Run (Learning about health)
  • Animal Kingdom (Learning about community)
  • Mountain Lion (Learning about safety outdoors)
  • King of the Jungle (Learning about citizenship)

When Lions complete adventures, they earn awards. Awards are belt loops, which can be worn on the uniform belt and help reinforce the accomplishments of each Lion toward earning his Lion badge.
